Sheffield-based Firehouse Fitness has opened its third gym in town.
Founded in 2013, the company has moved into a 12,000 m² unit in the Archer Road Retail Park in Millhouses, its first location in southwest Sheffield.
A six-figure investment has transformed the former PureGym location into six practice zones.
General Manager Shane Beard said, “The lockdown has been incredibly difficult for both our members and the 18-person team at Firehouse Fitness. We were fully prepared to resume Covid-safe gyms for those who come back want to return to their fitness routines. “
“With our new location in a retail park that has now undergone major renovations, we are playing an important role in maintaining the park as it adapts to new uses and brings a sense of normal life and healthy routines back into people’s lives.”
Sheffield-based Wake Smith Solicitors worked for Firehouse Fitness on the rental of the building, which is located in the retail park alongside other users such as Swim !, Bensons For Beds and Costa Coffee.
Paul Gibbon, director of Wake Smith’s commercial real estate division who advised on the lease, added, “When we see glimmers of normal life return thanks to the introduction of the Covid-19 vaccine, we were delighted to help Firehouse Fitness Use One new location and accesses a whole new group of customers. “
The new location complements Firehouse Fitness’ existing locations at Meadowbrook Park in Halfway and Hillsborough.
