Southlakes Solo Range makes three acquisitions below the brand new lifestyle model

Southlake-based Solo Stove, designer of easy-to-use fire pits and camping stoves, announced the recent acquisitions of Chubbies Shorts, Oru Kayak and ISLE on September 3rd, creating a new brand house, Solo Brands.

With a focus on adventurous lifestyle products, Solo Brand’s vision is to create a better, customer-obsessed, community-centric, and direct-to-consumer experience. The new family of brands is pooling its strengths in order to offer first-class know-how and technology for the end user.

“We created Solo Brands with a vision for a different approach to direct customer business – one that is better not only for the customer but also for the community at large,” said John Merris, CEO of Solo Brands and Solo Stove. “Each of these brands is amazing in its own way – but together we will be able to deliver a better customer journey together – while doing more for the communities that built us.”

The new brand team includes Chubbies Shorts, maker of men’s weekend wear, Oru Kayak, designer of the world’s most elegant and accessible folding kayaks, and ISLE, maker of paddleboards for yoga, fishing, touring, surfing and more.
