Singer Michele Merlo dies – Lifestyle

(ANSA) – ROME, JUNE 7 – Singer Michele Merlo died on Monday 28th in a hospital in Bologna, where he was admitted on Thursday night for a brain haemorrhage caused by a sudden attack of leukemia.

Merlo, whose stage name was Mike Bird, had become famous after appearing on the talent shows X-Factor and Amici.

An extremely delicate operation could not save his life.

Merlo had been sent home from another Bolivian hospital that had diagnosed his symptoms as being caused by a relatively harmless virus.

His family issued a statement denying reports that he had been vaccinated against COVID-19 and that his symptoms were due to a reaction to the vaccination.

Merlo received messages of sympathy from fans and colleagues, including Emma Marrone, Francesco Facchinetti, Ermal Meta, Federico Rossi (of the duo Benji & Fede) and Aka7even, competitors of Amici. (HANDLE).
