RV driving is a lifestyle on the Nashville Superspeedway | information

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – We’re just over 24 hours from the big Wilson County racing weekend. But for many who come from outside, they have already made themselves comfortable.

“Where you park is your home,” Wade Clem told News 4 Nashville from outside his RV.

He’s here for Chris Mais, 700 miles from his Baltimore home, for a six-night, five-night stay.

“Coming back after a few years drew us here,” Mais told News 4. “We want to see the city and race and be in a place we haven’t been for a while.”

Mais is accompanied by his wife, who are both seasoned NASCAR campers, and the newly rescued 132-pound dog Vincent. He says the experience of meeting new people in new places makes RV driving an enjoyable one the days before the race.

“A week’s experience at NASCAR is the whole, sometimes the race isn’t the main event, it’s getting to know new people and experiencing a different area.”

Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge will sponsor Trackhouse Racing’s # 99 Chevrolet Camaro and driver Daniel Suarez at the Ally 400 at the Nashville Superspeedway in Nashville.

Directly across from Mais is Clem, also from Maryland, who lives just 60 miles from Mais and enjoys his first race in Nashville.

“Camping is probably 80 percent of the fun,” said Clem, who has followed NASCAR races across the country since 1995.

Like everyone else, they are excited to see what impression the Nashville Superspeedway will make this week.

“The people are super nice. The interior is nice and clean,” said Mais. “No complaints so far.”
