With the county moving to a less restrictive level and our continued efforts to provide services while ensuring your safety, the city has reopened the indoor gym at the Sierra Recreation and Fitness Center with a 10% capacity. The Montanoso Recreation Center gym remains outdoors so we can work with a higher capacity. Both gyms are offered subject to availability, so members have a one-hour workout time. The city is also working to improve programming and operating hours in Montanoso, Sierra and Felipe this month.
Montanoso Recreation and Fitness Center will slowly begin restoring programs, while following state and county guidelines. The first offering includes personal training, outdoor group TRX and bootcamp courses starting the week of Monday April 5th. Bootcamp classes are also offered at the Sierra Recreation and Fitness Center.
The Sierra Recreation and Fitness Center will add weekday evenings starting Monday April 12th. The center also offers program options for lap swimming, pickleball, the gym, and tennis. Bootcamp classes are added in the playground area. The new operating hours are Monday to Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Felipe Tennis and Leisure Center will also be expanding its opening hours to include Friday and Saturday games, as well as additional midweek evening options.
From Friday, April 16, the new operating hours are from Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.
Starting Wednesday April 21st, Wednesday evenings from 3pm to 8.30pm will be added to the Felipe schedule.
