A suspected drug dealer in Italy was caught by police after they spotted him in his cooking videos on YouTube. Marc Feren Claude Biart, a suspected member of the powerful Ndrangheta crime consortium in southern Italy, was caught by police after discovering his tattoos on a cooking video. Biart had been smart enough to hide his face in all of his YouTube videos but forgot to hide his tattoos.

Biart, 53, was first arrested in 2014 on charges of drug trafficking for the Ndrangheta Cacciola clan, according to a Washington Post report. However, he managed to escape with his wife from prison to Boca Chica, a coastal town in the Dominican Republic. For many years he managed to evade the police, and he would have hidden for many years if his love of cooking had not attracted him.

Biart was very interested in cooking and showed off his culinary skills on YouTube. He has posted a lot of videos cooking Italian delicacies, but managed to hide his face in all of the videos. There was one thing he wasn’t hiding was his tattoos. He never imagined that one day the police would find him because of his tattoos.

“The love of Italian cuisine allowed (police forces) to follow his tracks on the internet and social networks, while the love of tattoos (allowed the police) to identify the refugee as that cook,” investigators said in a statement.

According to the report, Marc Biart was arrested at Milan’s Malpensa airport on the way to Santo Domingo. The police organization known as Interpol posted information about his arrest on Twitter. “Arrested in the Dominican Republic and extradited to Italy: # Ndrangheta refugee Marc Feren Claude Biart has wanted to be charged with drug trafficking since 2014 and ends up in Italy to be tried. Authorities found him after spotting his tattoos on a YouTube video, “Interpol said in a tweet.

After his arrest, Biart was extradited to Italy. A BBC report found that he was wanted by the police for allegedly “trafficking cocaine in the Netherlands on behalf of the Cacciola clan of the ‘Ndrangheta Mafia”.
