Deutsche Hospitality is creating a new brand structure. In future, the traditional Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts brand and the Jaz in the City lifestyle brand will be combined to form the new “Upscale” segment. In his capacity as Vice President Steigenberger Business & Resorts and Jaz in the City, Denis Hüttig will take on responsibility for the upscale segment and report directly to CEO Marcus Bernhardt. Stefan Frank, General Manager of the Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Frankfurt, will be the new Senior Director Operations. The appointment of Mr. Frank will take effect on May 1, 2021.

Denis Hüttig has been with Deutsche Hospitality since 2012. In 2020 he was appointed Vice President Operations Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts, taking on operational responsibility for the brand. Before that, he had been responsible for the brand’s resort hotels for a period of five years, during which time he also worked as VPO. Fotis Fakes, Senior Director International Resort Hotels, and Stefan Frank, Senior Director Operations, will be responsible to Denis Hüttig in his new role as Vice President Steigenberger Business & Resorts and Jaz in the City. Siegfried Nierhaus, Vice President Middle East, will represent the hotels in the region and also report to Denis Hüttig.

Stefan Frank has been General Manager of the Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Frankfurt am Main since 2018. Before that, he had many years of professional and management experience at the InterContinental Hotels Group. Most recently he was Area General Manager of the InterContinental Hotels in Moscow, Kiev and Bucharest and also managed the pre-opening phase of the InterContinental Hotel in Sofia, Bulgaria. Mr. Frank will temporarily retain his position as General Manager of the Steigenberger Airport Hotel after May 2021 and at the same time exercise his new role as Senior Director Operations. Frank’s successor at the Steigenberger Airport Hotel will be announced shortly.
